Great! More NYC Duchess of Sussex looks 🙂 I love this coat and will be standing by to see what designer it is. I love the Carolina Herrera bag she’s carrying and the fact she’s paired it with nude heels for something a little different with a all dark outfit. It’s the perfect chic NYC lunch outfit that also looks comfy.

Love the sunnies but they are sold out. Guess that protects me and my budget for one more day 🙂
It’s too bad the top she’s wearing can’t be seen. I love the coat. I also like black skinnies with nude pumps although rather mundane. However it baffles me how this is an appropriate outfit for a baby shower. There’s other ways of going low key and yet be really stylish. Cute but ordinary outfit but inappropriate for the occasion.
What’s an “appropriate” look for a baby shower? She’s on her private time not on a public engagement. She’s going to be surrounded by her closest friends. She’s dressed how SHE wants to dress and in what she feels comfortable in. Again whose view of “appropriateness” are you basing this on? This word “appropriate” really just gets thrown around willy nilly by everyone.
If it was me and I was surrounded by my closest friends, we’d all be in yoga pants and slippers 😃
Excuse me, I thought I was on a fashion website…not a fangirl site for Megan Markle, aka the Duchess. But to your question, black is usually associated with mourning, ya savvy?, and not the color one would wear to one’s baby shower. It’s seriously bad vibes. Take it down a notch, doll, the above was, after all, my opinion, which I thought was the point of comments here.
BTW, the reason I am here on this site a lot (one of several fashion sites I frequent) is because of the clothes Meghan wears–which I am mostly very positive about. Whether she is or is not on public duty, she is a public figure………etc.
Black is not associated only with mourning, it is widely worn in the fashion world and especially in NY. As the guest of honor for the baby shower( which this is not a picture of) anything she wears is appropriate.
It’s quite possible that Meghan intends to change before the shower and only wore this outfit to lunch. And since we can’t see the entire outfit, it’s possible that it’s completely appropriate for her baby shower.
If I was having a baby shower surrounded by my closest friends, we’d all be yoga pants and slippers 🙂

There has been a sugestion that she changed outfits before the baby shower began. When items were being delivered there for the shower there was a long pale dress bag brought into the hotel. But we will probably never find out.

Wow, I read about this yesterday and saw some photos taken at night with Meghan wearing a “newsboy” cap! I’m surprised she is flying across the “pond” so late in her pregnancy. I like the texture of the coat: not so sure if I like the nude pumps with this outfit. The pumps are too dressy for jeans. Are those aviator glasses?
It is obviously not that late in her pregnancy to fly given they will be doing a tour in Morocco next week.
Agree with Pam this outfit is a little “grey” for my tastes.
I’m tempted to say something about the coat given it’s cold in NY today. However, if I was chauffeured around like age is, I’d probably be rocking a coat like that too.

Wow, I’m loving this coat!! I really like wearing vintage pieces, not as an entire outfit but just a piece to make my outfit a bit more funky and fun.
